Religious Education
Curriculum Intent
At Wooburn Green Primary School we intend to develop the children’s knowledge, understanding and appreciation of different beliefs, values and traditions through the study of world faiths and practices while contributing to the pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
We want our children to know how religious education promotes empathy, diversity and tolerance which will enable pupils to combat prejudice, preparing them for life beyond school.
Curriculum Implementation
We have adapted the Hertfordshire schemes of work to meet the needs of our school community. Our curriculum ensures the children learn about different religions and cultures and where appropriate, RE is taught through the topic curriculum to help the children make further links in their learning and provide them with a further depth of understanding.

Impact:
Our pupils leave school ready for the next stage in their RE education. During their time here, pupils learn about key faiths, places of worship and different beliefs. Pupils visit places of worship to enhance their understanding and awareness of different religions.
