At Wooburn Green Primary School, we believe that every child deserves a positive start to their day. Each morning, children are welcomed with our Meet and Greet Board, where they can choose how they would like to be greeted before entering the classroom.

The board offers a range of friendly greeting options, such as a wave, high-five, fist bump, or a hug. This simple daily routine helps children feel valued, respected and ready to learn. It provides a moment of connection with their teacher, encourages independence and gives every child a voice in how they begin their day.

Our Meet and Greet Board also helps staff check in with children’s wellbeing and supports the development of positive relationships across the school. By starting the day with a choice and a smile, we create a welcoming environment where every child feels seen, supported and ready to succeed.
