Wooburn Green Primary School

An Academy of the Great Learners Trust

Welcome to Wooburn Green Primary School

Welcome from Mr Sam Kaye, Headteacher

We are a one form entry primary school, with an attached preschool, where great learning happens every day. Our motto is ‘GROWING LEARNERS FOR THE FUTURE’ and our teachers, who are much more than just highly qualified professionals, work hard to provide excellent learning opportunities that challenge, inspire, motivate and grow each child into the very best that they can be. We want out curriculum to go beyond the National Curriculum to ensure that all pupils are ready for their next educational steps and they are also ready to contribute to society.

Wooburn Green Primary School was judged 'Good' by Ofsted in May 2022 and the report recognises the strong community spirit of our school:

'There is a close-knit community at Wooburn Green. Every child is known. Adults do their best in ‘growing learners for the future’. Pupils are happy to come to school. They feel safe in the friendly atmosphere that leaders cultivate. Calmness flows at Wooburn Green'

We have high expectations academically and aim to instil in our pupils a love for learning.

Our creative curriculum offers all pupils enhanced learning experiences with the children taking part in regular off site learning activities.  Forest School is part of our core offer for all pupils across the academic year.  This takes place with our specialist teacher in our dedicated Forest School which is part of our extensive grounds.  There is also a large sports field, two playgrounds and a sensory garden for pupils to use.  The children also receive excellent sports coaching from Inspire Sports weekly and have the opportunity to participate in a range of after school clubs and competitions.

If you would like to know more or to book a visit, please contact the school office. You are guaranteed a warm welcome!
