Year 5

Your teacher is Miss Dodd and your Learning Support Assistant is Mrs Teesdale.

Welcome to Year 5

The class teacher in Year 5 is Miss Dodd who will teach the majority of Year 5 lessons. Mrs Hussain will teach on a Thursday afternoon, and Mrs Teesdale every other Tuesday afternoon. Year 5 will also get one hour of high quality PE teaching a week which is currently a Thursday Afternoon. 

Homework

Reading books need to be read for ten minutes everyday and reading records need to be handed in everyday to be checked. 

Maths homework is given out weekly on a Friday afternoon which is due back in on the following Monday. 

Spelling homework is given out on a Monday afternoon which is due back in on Friday. 

We will go to the library on a Wednesday afternoon so please bring in books that want to be changed. 

PE and Forest School

PE will be on a Monday morning and a Thursday afternoon. In the Spring term we will have Forest School on a Wednesday. Please ensure that children have the correct clothing for PE and are wrapped up warm for Forest School.
