Welcome to Year 4!

Your class teacher is Mrs Gerrish, with Mrs Lympoudi teaching on Wednesdays, and your Learning Support Assistant is Mrs Hussein.

PE lessons will be carried out by our Sports Coach, Mr Pearce, on a Friday. Please ensure children come in wearing school PE kit on these days.

Forest School will be taught by Miss Bishop on Wednesday Mornings in the Autumn term. Children will need to wear appropriate forest school attire for this.

Year 4 will go Swimming on Wednesday mornings in the Summer term, more information will be communicated to parents at that time.

Home Learning

All pupils will receive the following for their home learning:

• Daily Reading - Children should be reading for 15mins per day and have their Reading Records signed by an adult. We suggest a maximum of 10 pages of their home learning book sent home from school. They may also read a book of their choice, but this does not need to be recorded in their reading records. 
• Maths - Weekly homework will be handed our on a Friday and due back on a Monday in their blue folders. This might be times tables or something to review what the children have been learning in class. 
• Spellings - Weekly spelling lists will be handed out on a Monday in their yellow homework folders. Children should return their folder on a Friday morning and they will be tested on a Friday morning.
