Year 6 SATs Presentation - April 2026

Remote Learning Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th June

Science - Charles Darwin (Wednesday 24th June)

Please look through  the attached slides about the life and work of Charles Darwin and his impact on the field of evolution. Please then complete the attached worksheet by answering the questions on separate paper. I have also attached the answers for you to check how you have got on.

Topic (Thursday 25th June)

Part 1: Read the slides (called Planning a Route) that are attached about using a map to plan a route including using compass directions. Then complete the activity sheet attached using the map (it is bigger than the one on the slides so will be easier to use) that I have also provided.

Part 2: Please read the slides called Part 2. You task is to plan a route from your home to your new secondary school using online route planning software such as Google Maps. Use Google maps to enter a start location (home) and end location (new school). The draw your map and write out the route you will need to take. There is a sheet you can do this on attached (How I get to school sheet), but doing this on plain paper is also fine! Make sure you write out your route.
