Your teacher is

Mrs Lympoudi (Monday-Wednesday)     and         Mrs Hughes (Thursday-Friday) and your Learning Support Assistant is

                                            Miss Sargeant.

 Welcome to Year 1!

Year 1 predominately taught by Mrs Lympoudi and Mrs Hughes, with Miss Sargeant as your Learning Support Assistant. P.E. lessons will be carried out by our Sports Coach, Mr Pearce, on a Friday afternoon- please ensure children come in wearing PE kit. They also have one hour of PE with the class teacher on a Monday.

Forest School will be carried out by Miss Bishop( our Forest School Leader) in Summer term.

Homework

Spellings - Children will receive new spellings lists in their yellow folders on a Monday. These should be learnt at home daily and returned on Friday ready for our spelling tests.

Reading - Children should read for 15minutes at home everyday - including weekends! They should read about 5 pages of their homework book and if they have time another book of their choice for pleasure. Please remember to record in the reading records.

Maths - Maths homework will be sent home on Fridays in blue folders. This should be done and returned by Monday.

Writing Support - To support your child with writing at home, simply ask them to write you a story or some instructions. Grab some handwriting books from Amazon or WHSmith to support with letter formation and joined handwriting.
